About Me
HI’m Olympia Severis, an English teacher and Inclusion Lead with a professional background rooted in education, literacy, and inclusive practice. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading, and I bring both pedagogical expertise and editorial precision to my work with writers.
I work across all genres of fiction and have a particular interest in historical fiction and memoir/autobiography, where voice, authenticity, and emotional truth are especially vital. My approach is grounded in clarity, respect for the writer’s intent, and a deep appreciation for storytelling in all its forms.
Alongside my editorial practice, I have extensive experience supporting diverse learners and championing inclusive representation. This informs my sensitivity reading work, where I help authors, publishers, and literary professionals ensure that narratives are considered, respectful, and thoughtfully constructed without compromising creative integrity.
Whether I am providing developmental feedback, line editing, or sensitivity reading, my aim is always the same: to help writers refine their work while preserving the heart of their story.
